Clark “Corky” T. Davis, Jr., age 78 of Rolla, passed away Thursday, February 17, 2022, at his residence. Corky was born December 17, 1943, in Hancock, MO, a son to the late Clark T. Sr, and Minnie (Malone) Davis. On May 27, 1971, he was united in marriage to Maryann Dynia. She survives of the home.
Corky received his bachelor’s degree and later taught JROTC at C. Manual High School in Peoria, IL. Corky proudly served his country as a career member of the United States Marines for 4 years and the United States Army for 20 years. He was a member of the 28th Infantry Black Lions First Division. He retired as a Major in 1986.
Corky enjoyed improving his homestead but spending time with his children and grandchildren meant more to him than anything.
In addition to Maryann, his spouse of over 50 years, Corky is survived by: two sons, Jim (Marcy) Davis of Soldotna, AK, and Victor (Sandra) Davis of Columbia; one daughter, Heather (Demetrius)Vance of Foristell; one brother, Steven Davis of Columbia; two sisters, Vickie Fletcher of Mokane and Dorla (Bill) Claypool of Versailles; grandchildren, Alexia Steck, Kaylee (Todd) Bell, Sharon Steck, Destiny Davis, Haley (Bailey) Davis, Summer Davis, Emma Davis, Devon Vance, Amber Vance, Maddy Davis and Dekker Davis, as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and friends. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
